TED SLUBERSKI
Ted Sluberski is a highly sought after audition/acting coach in New York. Actors he has coached privately or has worked with in a class setting have gone on to book series regulars in network television and pilots, principal roles in feature films and roles on Broadway and regional theatre. Many of those actors have been called back or have landed roles in features shot in NY which include; All Good Things, Bride Wars, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Julia and Julie, Taking Woodstock and This Must Be the Place. In television he has coached actors who have booked 30 Rock, CSI New York, Lipstick Jungle, Gossip Girls, Law and Order(s) Without a Trace, Cold Case, Damages, Convicted, New Amsterdam, Ugly Betty and several soaps. This past season he has coached actors who have been called back, gone to producers and/or booked over 20 network pilots. And in theatre, actors have been called back or landed roles in shows including Little Mermaid, 39 Steps, Dirty Dancing, Rock of Ages, and Jersey Boys to productions at Roundabout, Playwrights Horizons, Second Stage, Manhattan Theatre Club, NYMTF, Yale Rep, the ABC Diversity Showcase and several regional theatres. Ted has also coached many young actors who are now in graduate acting programs at Yale, NYU, ACT, ART, Carnegie Mellon, Juilliard, Brown/Trinity, Denver Center, Old Globe, and UCSD.
Each one of these opportunities began with an audition.
Ted has been a casting director for over twenty years, and knows what producers, directors, writers and casting directors are looking for in an audition. His professional background also includes positions at ICM, and Grey Advertising (where he cast over 1500 commercials). He was the Work Shop director at the Williamstown Theatre Festival for several seasons selecting and mentoring actors in the Non Equity Company and the Apprentice Company as well as selecting and mentoring the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival Directing Corp. He has been the director of the ABC Diversity Showcase in New York and Los Angeles as well as having directed theatre at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, New York Fringe Festival, Premiere Stages and several plays and readings in New York and LA.
He is happy to be joining the roster of professionals teaching at Stonestreet Studios.
